Working together to support Illinois families

Our Focus on CILAs

We're pleased to announce a strategic shift in our organization's focus. We are now directing our efforts towards the establishment of Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILAs).

Your support, whether in terms of time, expertise, or resources, is integral to the success of this initiative. We look forward to your collaboration as we navigate this new and impactful chapter for our organization.

Little Friends

Founded in 1965, Little Friends originated as a collaborative effort among teachers, parents, and advocates who established a school catering to individuals with special needs. Over the years, Little Friends has evolved into a comprehensive human services agency, offering a range of support for individuals with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as social-emotional needs.

Today, Little Friends stands as a trusted resource in Illinois, delivering essential services across nine counties and serving 50 school districts.

Anchored for Life can certainly attest to the quality of their resources, guidance, and cooperation to educate those interested in exploring the necessities of housing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Their Residential Services guide provides a path to understanding the vocabulary and guidelines of residential programs.

DuPage Foundation Partnership

We partner with the DuPage Foundation to manage donations and ensure transparency in our fundraising efforts. All donations made through the DuPage Foundation are tax-deductible and go directly toward our mission of establishing a CILA home in DuPage County.

State Resources

Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) provides comprehensive information about developmental disabilities services, including CILA programs, eligibility requirements, and application processes.

For families navigating the system, understanding available programs and benefits is essential. We're here to help guide you through this process.
